Business Operations Specialist

Responsibilities
  • You will work closely with the Architecture, Design, Validation, and TFM teams to ensure that our operational processes align with our strategic goals. You will be responsible for managing internal workflows, optimizing processes, hiring and ensuring smooth cross-departmental communication. The ideal candidate is adaptable, enjoys problem-solving, and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment typical of startups.
    Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Efficiency: Analyze and optimize business processes across Architecture, Design, Validation, and TFM teams, identifying opportunities to improve workflow and productivity.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the operational liaison between teams, ensuring effective communication and project coordination between the different departments.

  • Project Management: Support project timelines and deliverables by managing milestones, tracking progress, and addressing bottlenecks to ensure timely execution of tasks.

  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect and analyze data related to team performance, operational costs, and project timelines, providing actionable insights to support decision-making and process improvement.

  • Process Improvement: Continuously identify areas for improvement in the company's processes and implement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, reduce delays, and improve communication across teams.

  • Vendor and Partner Coordination: Collaborate with external vendors and partners, particularly for tools, equipment, and services essential to the engineering team, ensuring contracts and timelines align with project needs.

  • Strategic Support: Assist in developing and executing business strategies that support the company’s growth and operational scalability, working directly with leadership to align operations with long-term goals.

  • Resource Planning: Work closely with team leads to ensure proper allocation of resources across Architecture, Design, Validation, and TFM teams to meet project demands and timelines.

  • Hiring & Talent Acquisition: Collaborate with department leads to identify staffing needs and manage the hiring process to attract and onboard top talent.

  • Risk Management: Identify operational risks, particularly around validation and manufacturing, and work with leadership to develop mitigation strategies.

Qualifications & Skills:​
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field. Experience in the semiconductor or electronics industry is a plus.

  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in business operations, project management, or process optimization in a high-tech, fast-paced environment (startup experience preferred).

  • Strong understanding of semiconductor development lifecycles, particularly in Architecture, Design, Validation, and TFM.

  • Excellent communication skills to foster collaboration across technical and business teams.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced startup environment.

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision-making and process improvement.

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management tools (e.g., Asana, Jira, or Monday).

  • Experience with operational tools commonly used in startups (ERP, CRM, etc.) is a plus.

  • Experience with hiring and managing recruiting processes.
